Bead & Cord – that talks

Threading seems restricted to metal wires, fishing cord or fine threads, since most of the beads no matter their texture or style are having a very small opening. The choice of beads bounded our choice of cord/thread. Can we use nylon cord or real leather bands of 1-3mm thick? From a Chinese viewpoint, the answer must be yes, as threading definitely include Chinese Knotting with various jade beads.

Beads as a jewelry component not only shine with special texture, but also carry symbols and even stories, reflect the craftsmanship and even do good to the bearer. And the cords may not be a straight or curved line, they can be knotted, weaved to convey meanings and wishes. Sound radical to you?
